Bunny Gallery

On this page you will find photos of baby cottontail rabbits (bunnies).  Bunnies are sadly at the bottom of the food chain, and there is a period of time after Mom weans them when the bunnies are still confused, scared, and not sure if Mom is returning to them.  Mom does not leave her children a note or have a little talk with them before she leaves them to have a new litter somewhere else.  These young rabbits must learn to survive on their own in the world, and it takes them time to adjust to the idea that Mom isn’t coming back to feed them.  If you are not sure about the rabbits you have found in your yard, feel free to send us a photo to [email protected]  and we would be happy to help you determine whether or not the bunnies in your yard are in need of assistance, or as always, give us a call at the Wildlife Hotline anytime!

LEFT photos show bunnies that are old enough to be on their own.

RIGHT photos show bunnies that still need Mom.
